Where to next: Iceland

Let me paint you a picture. Endless horizons of snow capped mountains, long empty roads winding through the pastel coloured landscape, Mother Nature showing off her finest natural phenomena's – a little piece of paradise in my eyes!
Iceland, a Nordic island country, sitting just high enough in the globe to be somewhat overlooked. Well, that was until the mountains began calling my name.
This year I found within me a calling to explore the wilderness. I've always been the type of girl who opts for camping outdoors over a stay-cation – but recently I've got mountains on my mind! Initially I was going to ease my desire to be surrounded by mountains by exploring Nepal (what could be better than the Himalayas and Mount Everest!), but after the absolutely traumatic earthquake last month my wanderlust has move further north.
I'm currently organising a road trip around the tiny island of Iceland with a nomadic buddy of mine, to immerse myself in open space, never-ending mountain landscapes, a hell of a long road, and natural beauty, all while freezing my butt off. Driving on the right side of the road will be easy enough... right?
