In typical Melbourne form, we're currently experiencing the kind of weather I really dread – too warm for a knit in the sun, and somehow freezing to the point of arctic in the shade, not to mention the sudden attacks of rain. This makes getting dressed each morning a real hassle!
Having grown up in Melbourne, it hasn't got any easier in my twenty-three and a half years of life. It seems every year, this in-between weather really stumps me, and I find myself dreaming of sable weather. So, if you haven't already guessed by my April wishlist, I'm currently dreaming of winter – oversized wool coats, black leather boots, cozy knits, wool accessories, and layering – oh take me now! What else could you ask for?... Snow maybe? Yes, I'll keep dreaming.
These days, my style seems to be finding its feet. When I glance into my wardrobe, I see black, white and blues staring back at me. The odd red from time-to-time jumps out, but rarely do I ever get the urge to wear it. I get the sense red is likely to pack up and leave due to the pure neglect it's feeling – I'm a bad mother. I'm a bit of a boy when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. Not only are the clothes I wear slightly masculine, but when I find something I like, I can't help but buy more. I mean, you could say I practically own every piece of item in my wishlist already... Or you could say, I'm just stocking up on the basics just in case the world freezes over and I want to be stylish during the apocalypse.
