The change in weather does something to you. It's a fact. Well, it's not necessarily a fact, but it should be!

There's something strange about the way my body reacts to new seasons. I'm not taking hormones! I'm no longer an angsty teenager with bad acne (thank the lords!). I'm talking cabin fever!

New seasons bring on new thoughts. I start dreaming up wonderful ways to spend my money, I change the way my bed faces in my bedroom, I start liking clothes I once swore off, and I feel rather frantic. There's suddenly not enough hours in my day for my thoughts. Which, as you can imagine, disturbs my sleep. I wake up unsure where I am, because I've moved my bed. And most of all, I crave that unfamiliar smell of a country on the other side of the world.

It doesn't even feel that long ago since I was in the Yarra ValleyHobart, or Lorne. These destinations may seem close to home, but they're an escape nonetheless. I dream of sitting on trains between countries in Eastern Europe. I dream of trekking up to Machu Picchu in Peru. I dream of sweating in the Indian heat. I dream of getting lost in the city of Seoul in Korea. I dream of finding my way to rural China.

What do you dream of this new season?
